Pete dropped Rog and I off then went to Palmones as so windy; chap on beach measured 51.5 knot gust, and it was windier out to sea. A couple of hot shots went out with 3.7m and 4m in mental wind, and one even did a double forward loop; I assume he meant to.After a couple of hours it moderated so went out on 4m overpowered in gusts but got through lulls on 76l Mistral Wave which was 08 model and not quite as manoeuvrable as 09 model., but this was survival. After high water sea smoothed a bit with some nice faces. managed to negotiate through chop on way out, but some gusts were just too strong. really pleased to get mroe gybes in than failed. Spent 2 hours either sailing or waiting for gusts to die on shore. Super day that felt like a real sail. Guys returned from Palmones saying little wind there; it was all in Valde!
